Real vs. Personal Property in the Manufactured Home World

This is an easy one

Real Property is when you finance your home and land as one, as with Property taxes; your land and home are taxed as one.

Personal Property is when you finance your home only, as with property taxes; your home is taxed separately.

As in everything else there are qualifications.  Refer to the Texas Department of Housing andCommunity Affairs website for clarification and with your local taxing authority.
